"King City," was an audiovisual installation during the Blink festival in Cincinnati which told the story of King Records and the birth of rock 'n roll. In collaboration with We Have Become Vikings, I helped produce character animations for the piece. Here is a collection of GIFs of the various scenes I animated.
Roles: character rigging, animation
3D Hershey's Kisses animations for Hershey's HOW Conference presentation & Holiday Social content, with direction and additional composite work from We Have Become Vikings.
Roles: 3D modeling, texturing, scene creation, animation
Contract work for totes-isotoner featured on their various brand websites (totes, isotoner, Acorn) and email newsletters.
A series of T-shirt designs for Auto Racing Tees. These blueprint designs are a fun peek into the history of racing vehicles and tracks. The shirts show the human element of the roadways and cars by using rugged, hand-drawn schematics. This effect is strengthened further on the track designs with hand-written callouts.
Roles: art direction, illustration
Freakwency is my senior capstone project at the University of Cincinnati's school of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning. It is an iPad application that allows children (specifically students) to create their own digital music and save it to listen later. My motivation for the project stemmed from the idea that composing art and writing is practiced early in school, but composing music is not.
Roles: research, interviewing, user experience, animation, sound and music
Scout Cincinnati is a result of a class group project from 2014. Tasked with creating a wayfinding system to unify downtown Cincinnati, my team focused on a vintage-but-modern hand-etched style that showcased trivia about the city's history and made use of the many building faces in the distinct Cincinnati districts.
Although I was a part of developing the wayfinding system, my main contribution was the promotional video that would be played downtown at Fountain Square and posted on social media.
Roles: brand development, environmental design, wayfinding, photography, storyboarding, animation, editing

A title sequence for the independent sci-fi film Primer, one of my favorite films. With no title sequence, it felt like the perfect candidate to receive a re-do, or in this case a completely new addition. The content is simple but heavily related to the film, which revolves around time travel and cloning. The set piece and wardrobe design are based on scenes and characters in the movie, while the credits are intentionally redundant to match the theme.
Roles: storyboarding, filming, acting, editing

A group class project with a goal to create a video with montage elements that told some sort of story. Our group decided on a silent short film following the journey of a misplaced wallet, with a focus on old-school comedy.
Roles: storyboarding, directing, acting, editing

The opening title sequence for a fictitious reality TV show showcasing battling DJs and producers. I aimed for a mysterious air to the piece, with a nondescript environment, letting the actor and speaker shine. The music was chosen to coincide with the speaker animation, conveying an aggressive and loud experience. I shot the actor in front of a green screen and used Cinema 4D for the 3D speaker elements.
Roles: storyboarding, 3D modeling, animating, directing, filming, editing
This was a class project in 2013 where I was tasked with rebranding a non-profit to better serve their purposes as an effective entity. Revitalize Over-the-Rhine is a complete rebranding of the Cincinnati-based non-profit Over-the-Rhine Community Housing (OTRCH). They renovate dilapidated buildings and offer rent at a discounted price for the city's homeless.
I chose ROTR—or Revitalize OTR—as a play on words with the word rotor, demonstrating the analogy of the organization's volunteers as gears in a complex machine that benefits the community.
Roles: research, interviewing, brand development
An animated infographic explaining the history of the cryptozoological creature. The grungy texture and the background sound ambience accentuates the mysterious and rugged nature of the creature.
Roles: research, storyboarding, writing, animating, sound, voiceover
Functioning as a traveling pop-up bar reaching out into the corners of the Greater Cincinnati area, Thirsty Guerrilla is the result of a group class project from 2014. Tasked with developing an entity that could solve a general problem, we sought to connect the scattered neighborhoods in the Greater Cincinnati area with an event: a traveling pop-up bar serving local seasonal brews.
While I helped develop the brand identity and overall concept, my main contribution was the short teaser video that would be posted on social media and displayed on televisions in local bars.

This video was created in an attempt to entice more students (specifically from DAAP at the University of Cincinnati) to apply for co-op positions at the Cincinnati advertising agency Barefoot Proximity. We chose a mockumentary style of shooting to convey the laid-back atmosphere of the workplace. Throughout the video, we follow the journey of four co-ops as they learn the ropes of working at Barefoot, eventually becoming acclimated to the environment. "Big toes" explain what Barefoot does on a basic level.
